So This is Christmas

So this is Christmas And what have you done? Another year over And a new one just begun And so this is Christmas I hope you have fun The near and the dear one The old and the young A very merry Christmas And a happy New Year Let's hope it's a good one Without any fear And so this is Christmas For weak and for strong For rich and the poor ones The world is so wrong And so happy Christmas For black and for white For yellow and red ones Let's stop all the fight I was reminded of this song at a dinner theatre I went to on Monday so I looked it up and here it is.  It is amazing that a song written so many years ago is still so relevant today.  You would think with evolution and technology and all the advances of today's world there would be no validity in songs like this.  Wrong! I only hope that we as citizens of the world can join forces as one in time to save ourselves.

Tis the Season, What do you stand for?

I have been watching the news, Wikileaks and Christmas shows recently and in this time of togetherness and goodwill towards man, what on earth  are we doing?  What do we stand for?  Has it really come down to consumerism? Is there still goodwill and peace out there? How do we fix it?  I am only one person.  So I thought about it and came up with the idea that if we are indeed gonna be all about consumerism then let's make our freedom to choose where we spend our money stand for something or someone.  Don't like what there doing to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange then don't use Visa, Mastercard, Pay Pal and don't buy anything from Amazon....There are still other credit lenders out there and amazon isn't the only online seller.  Don't want a war in Korea stop buying Made in China or Made in US, support your local economy and give your neighbour the job.  In this day and age nothing is gonna stop the government faster than biting them in the pocke...
