Another Week

Monday
Today I spent $5.21 on ingredients for the lunch I am making for my Tuesday lunch date.  A few weeks ago I made roasted cauliflower with brown butter and linguine.  I did not enjoy it at all and would not make it again.....but I turned the left over roasted cauliflower into soup and froze it.  It is absolutely delicious, I had a bowl for lunch today.

Tuesday
I bought a cup of tea for $1.77.  I made an asparagus goat cheese toss for my lunch date today.....wow yummy.. I found the recipe on the Canadian Living website.   I will definitely make that again and it was so easy to make.

Wednesday
NO spending day!  What I did do is finish the third book in The Hunger Games trilogy.  That means I read all three books since last Saturday.  It is a great series even for an adult.  I could hardly put it down.  Now I need to find something else to read.  Any suggestions?

Thursday
I got gas and took out $20 in cash....so $40 total spent today. I am not sure how I spent the $20....$3 on Timmies.  That is not good that I have not kept track of the cash.

Friday
Now I remember where the cash went I bought breakfast at McDonalds for $12.60.  I went to a seminar for work so lunch was included and then went to my parents overnight which includes dinner and breakfast and free laundry.

Saturday
A friend and I went to Costco in the afternoon and I spent $20 on crackers and chocolate bars....oh well, we'll call it groceries.  Then we also went out in the evening and I spent another $21 for beers and dessert.  I also spent $2.50 on bus fare.  I had a good time and really enjoyed the company so it is money well spent....Everyone has to let loose sometime.

Sunday
I went to the mall with a girlfriend and I spent $5.61 on poutine from NY Fries.  All in all since I was at the mall I count myself very lucky getting out with that small amount.  I saw lots of things I wanted but this is not the time to be purchasing things.  I have a plan and I am trying to stick to it.

My Cup O Tea

Over the years I have become a fan of tea.  My favourites are non-caffeine.  Green Teas, herbal teas and rooibus.  Almost any loose leaf tea will do.  I once got chamomile tea from a friends parents and it was really just a whole baggie of chamomile flowers.....it was from a place in Sarnia, Ontario but I am not sure exactly where.  It just seems so much fresher when you can recognize it by sight.... In June while on vacation I found a tea store selling hand tied leaves.  What a fantastic aroma of jasmine.  It is the Madame Butterfly tea by Capital Teas (www.capitalteas.com).  It was very expensive and I just couldn't afford it but they certainly had lots of great teas. My most recent vacation in Florida found me in the Spice and Tea Exchange (www.spiceandtea.com) where I purchased a small bag of loose leaf hazelnut cookie tea.  Ceylon black base so not my usual herbal but wonderful smell and tastes very rich.  An enjoyable tea....

700 Hours of Learning....start now!

Here goes I am embarking on a two year adventure into myself and the world around me through yoga, massage, coaching and other modalities.  With this journey comes a great reading list and journaling.  This is not something I have ever been able to keep up, with much regularity, as you can see from my posts here.....lol One day I may succeed as I continue to practice for the next two years. I have received the reading list and am happy to have just finished Yoga Sequencing:  Designing Transformative Yoga Classes by Mark Stephens.  This book was suggested to me and for obvious reason, it is incredibly informative.  As a beginning yoga teacher it provided great pictures and foundations for infinite classes that I am now able to create.  It will continue to be on my bookshelf as an excellent reference, and I could reread it still getting useful information a second or third time.  Now I will delve further into this genre of reading with Yoga Anatomy by L...
