Evolution of a Journal

What started out on tear stained pages in locked diaries full of teenage angst and heartbreak has evolved into a bullet journal or "bujo" as they are called.

It is a journal, to do list, planner and creative outlet for doodles, dreams, goals and anything else you can think of.

Over the years I have tried all kinds of different techniques, typing it into my computer, pretty books, fountain pens but always struggled, because it didn't hold my interest unless I was unhappy and needed to vent.

Most recently my yoga teacher wanted us to keep a daily journal and I managed to make about 3 entries a week since last May.  I also have a weekly planner page that I made in libre office writer for organizing my life and that I keep up to date.  I like lists and I like to be very organized.  The bullet journal is the merging of the 2 and I am excited to have encountered great blogs and sites that deal solely with bujo's.

Here is the start of mine 2 days ago....

700 Hours of Learning....start now!

Here goes I am embarking on a two year adventure into myself and the world around me through yoga, massage, coaching and other modalities.  With this journey comes a great reading list and journaling.  This is not something I have ever been able to keep up, with much regularity, as you can see from my posts here.....lol One day I may succeed as I continue to practice for the next two years. I have received the reading list and am happy to have just finished Yoga Sequencing:  Designing Transformative Yoga Classes by Mark Stephens.  This book was suggested to me and for obvious reason, it is incredibly informative.  As a beginning yoga teacher it provided great pictures and foundations for infinite classes that I am now able to create.  It will continue to be on my bookshelf as an excellent reference, and I could reread it still getting useful information a second or third time.  Now I will delve further into this genre of reading with Yoga Anatomy by L...

My Cup O Tea

Over the years I have become a fan of tea.  My favourites are non-caffeine.  Green Teas, herbal teas and rooibus.  Almost any loose leaf tea will do.  I once got chamomile tea from a friends parents and it was really just a whole baggie of chamomile flowers.....it was from a place in Sarnia, Ontario but I am not sure exactly where.  It just seems so much fresher when you can recognize it by sight.... In June while on vacation I found a tea store selling hand tied leaves.  What a fantastic aroma of jasmine.  It is the Madame Butterfly tea by Capital Teas (www.capitalteas.com).  It was very expensive and I just couldn't afford it but they certainly had lots of great teas. My most recent vacation in Florida found me in the Spice and Tea Exchange (www.spiceandtea.com) where I purchased a small bag of loose leaf hazelnut cookie tea.  Ceylon black base so not my usual herbal but wonderful smell and tastes very rich.  An enjoyable tea....
