Wow...what a whirlwind...July already?

A lot has changed for me but at the same time nothing has changed....hmmmm

I applied to become a resident of Nicaragua on Monday...huge step in my life path.  I have found that a number of items on this path were in no way, shape or form in my childhood fantasy life or even on my adult bucket list.  I had never given much thought to what is actually required to "retire in another country and live by the ocean".  There is a lot of authenticated paperwork, police stations, interpol...fingerprints, business plans, employee plans, visits to Managua and much more that slips through without much notice.

About a week ago I completed a YTT 300 with Rebecca Hagman.  It was challenging, but rounds out 620 hours of training I took with her over the last 3 years.  120 hours of thai massage and 500 hours of yoga.  I have read numerous books which you can find on my library page.  Now I just want to read fluff for a month or 2....

However.....I have plenty more goals and things on my bucket list.

I am working toward 1000 hours of teaching now, so I can take the next step with all my training.

I am taking appointments for private and thai massage clients.

I am organizing a retreat here in Nicaragua for November 2017.  It is the weekend of the 24, 25, 26.  The theme is Kurmasana....We will go see baby turtles be released, reforest the mangroves on Isla Juan Vernado, work on kurmasana pose, surf, enjoy great vegetarian food, meditation and comraderie.  Please check it out here under offerings.

I am making another concerted effort to improve my spanish.  I did give myself another 3 years to be fluent but if I got there faster all the better.  And I have a lot of studying to do before I am fluent.

The LPCG is planning events for September, November, and then the Christmas Parade and helping with the indigenous children's Christmas Event. Stay tuned on our facebook page for more info.

And I will continue to keep you in the loop through my bujo as well.  I still haven't done the instagram thing but....

My Cup O Tea

Over the years I have become a fan of tea.  My favourites are non-caffeine.  Green Teas, herbal teas and rooibus.  Almost any loose leaf tea will do.  I once got chamomile tea from a friends parents and it was really just a whole baggie of chamomile flowers.....it was from a place in Sarnia, Ontario but I am not sure exactly where.  It just seems so much fresher when you can recognize it by sight.... In June while on vacation I found a tea store selling hand tied leaves.  What a fantastic aroma of jasmine.  It is the Madame Butterfly tea by Capital Teas (www.capitalteas.com).  It was very expensive and I just couldn't afford it but they certainly had lots of great teas. My most recent vacation in Florida found me in the Spice and Tea Exchange (www.spiceandtea.com) where I purchased a small bag of loose leaf hazelnut cookie tea.  Ceylon black base so not my usual herbal but wonderful smell and tastes very rich.  An enjoyable tea....

Where is the balance?

Everyday I wake up with big plans of getting some exercise, making some jewelry, Christmas decorations and cards and somehow it is now just before Christmas and I have not gotten in any better shape and have only made one pair of earrings this year....Where is the balance? How do I stop everyday life from stopping me.  By the time I get home from work, make dinner and do all the things I have to do which now also include a college course and a volunteer position I have no time for the things I set out to do at the beginning of the year.  I do not know where I could possibly squeeze in another hour or so....I am already exhausted.  I had mistakenly thought that when I sold my house and no longer had that maintenance to look after I would have more time...nope not so.  Okay so I got a job that I only work 35 hours a week and get off at 2:30 on Fridays and I could use that time....nope....now it just gets used for errands most times.... I keep asking myself this q...
