Week 1: The Chakra Oracle Cards: Workaholic

This card feels appropriate in a few aspects of my life and none involve work....what about in your life?

"This week, set your intention to determine what you'd like to express to the world before you embark on the task."  This is an important intention to set for me since I have few filters at times.

"What does blueberry say to you?"  This is the question asked on day 2 of the week long journey into the card.  It asks you to look beyond blue and into the combinations that make blueberry and the meanings of those colors as chakras.  We are asked to be open to the universes feedback as we examine our personal expression in life.

"The fifth chakra reminds us of the legacy we're here to share with others.  What is yours?  How will you know when you've succeeded?"

The group exercise is one i'd like to do and will just not this week...

The fifth day of 7 is a meditation...go within and release your inner mystic.  "What visions come forth?"

All the quotes are from the book Chakra Wisdom Oracle Kit, by Tori Hartman.  It's a 52 week journey through this deck....

Week 2: Monday-Thursday

Day 5:  NO spending day.  It was a quiet Monday. Day 6:  I spent approx $6.00 to fill a prescription. I should probably update you on another goal I had for this year.  I have been trying to make it to the gym twice a week since January.  It doesn't seem like a big goal but some weeks it is tough. Truthfully I haven't made it even once in the last  two weeks but I got back on track today with a bootcamp class at the YMCA I go to.  Although I am not noticing much difference in my weight or how I look I have noticed a substantial difference in how I feel......GREAT!  I am also hoping it will translate into an improved softball season. I may never be in the shape I was at 20 again but I can certainly try and be closer than I am now. Today was also lunch date day.....my coworker brought pulled pork sandwiches with carrot stick and cherry tomatoes.  She also made chocolate peanut butter squares....ummm delicious.  I will have to get that ...

My Cup O Tea

Over the years I have become a fan of tea.  My favourites are non-caffeine.  Green Teas, herbal teas and rooibus.  Almost any loose leaf tea will do.  I once got chamomile tea from a friends parents and it was really just a whole baggie of chamomile flowers.....it was from a place in Sarnia, Ontario but I am not sure exactly where.  It just seems so much fresher when you can recognize it by sight.... In June while on vacation I found a tea store selling hand tied leaves.  What a fantastic aroma of jasmine.  It is the Madame Butterfly tea by Capital Teas (www.capitalteas.com).  It was very expensive and I just couldn't afford it but they certainly had lots of great teas. My most recent vacation in Florida found me in the Spice and Tea Exchange (www.spiceandtea.com) where I purchased a small bag of loose leaf hazelnut cookie tea.  Ceylon black base so not my usual herbal but wonderful smell and tastes very rich.  An enjoyable tea....
